Radio Announcers:If you have 3-5 years of announcer experience, and you aren't making 30-35K, you have a problem with your audition. If you have 5 or more years, and you aren't making 50K, you have a MAJOR problem. I was a "star" in a medium market radio station, with a lousy paycheck until I said, "screw them", picked up the phone, and got myself a job for big bucks in Philly. How did I do it? I had a killer audition
Hi. I'm Jack Ellery. Along with radio pros Gordon Deal and Keith Bennett, we have a staff of Radio People who will critique your audition tape. We absolutely know we can enhance your career in Broadcasting, and show you how to make a decent living. Check out our Here's the Deal Page We know radio., we are Major Market pros. That's me in Philly, having a blast at WIP. We know how to play the game. You have to learn, or your career will go nowhere. Here's a tip. Program Directors usually do not listen to unsolicited tapes. If you are going to send one, call first. If you know someone in radio, drop his/her name. Radio people are name-droppers. Also, send a picture. Radio people do remotes. The PD wants to make sure you are presentable. How do I know? I was a Program Director. I know what works.
